Professional Darts Corporation closes a deal with SportStat An announcement came this week from the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) that it has closed a deal with SportStat on the launch of a live scoring solution derived from televised tournaments and ProTour events. It has also been added that RunningBall AG will distribute the information to betting companies for the provision of in-play gaming. PDC chairman Barry Hearn on this occasion stated: "We're pleased to be working alongside SportStat and RunningBall in this venture. They have a proven track record in this field through their work with World Snooker and this is an exciting development for darts." Another comment arrived from Andrew Palmer, SportStat's business development manager: "We are very excited to be the Official Data Partner to the PDC at a time when the popularity of the sport is exploding". In conclusion, RunningBall group chief executive officer Giancarlo Tottoli added: "We are delighted to have been appointed as the Professional Darts Corporation's exclusive and official data distributor to the betting industry - a double in, double out for RunningBall."
