Titan Walks out of French License

Another company to leave the market

An increasing number of companies seems to be leaving the French online gambling market due to tough taxes and weak market economics, the last one being Titan, which has asked the French regulator ARJEL to cancel the approval of its license to operate sports betting, granted less than a year ago.

Apparently, Titan Bet's plan was to use the license through Paris-based The Nation Traffic SAS, which holds the licenses.

On a more positive note, this week ARJEL has announced that it has approved the mobile betting softwares used by Betclic and Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU), allowing Betclic to operate sports betting and the PMU to accept both sports bets and wagers on horse-racing.
