Betfair Announces New Appointment

GTECH G2 COO in a new role Online betting exchange Betfair seems to be in a real employment drive, as it has announced this week a new appointment – that of Nick Hagen to the position of Sports Operations Director. At the moment, Hagen works as chief operating officer at Sports Betting at Lottomatica's GTECH G2. He will take over his new responsibilities in Betfair on December 12, 2011, and from then on he will work on the development of Betfair's risk based systems, which will play a greater role within the core exchange following the launch of its new sports site next year and managing the firm's trading operations. In a comment on his new position, Nick Hagen said: “Betfair has a truly unique and innovative sports betting proposition and I look forward to being part of the team who will develop this through a high class risk offering.” As for Ian Chuter, Director of Operations, he added: “Nick brings a massive amount of relevant experience to Betfair and I am confident that his experience and drive will enable us to reach our goal of becoming the provider of the ultimate sports betting experience.”
