Sportingbet Nails Deal with Land Gambling Operator?

Rumor has it… The industry went abuzz this week when rumors appeared that experienced European internet gambling group Sportingbet plc has closed a deal with US land gambling enterprise Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot tribe. Reportedly, this is yet another one in the long line of agreements aiming at potential legalization of online gambling in the US, as it will see Sportingbet provide free-to-play intrastate online poker and casino games to Foxwoods in Connecticut, provided that all the provisions are approved by both state regulators and other tribal gaming groups. Sportingbet is the position to plan its positioning in the States, thanks to the fact that it has cleared its legal slate with the US Department of Justice, in respect of online gambling activities in the United States pre-UIGEA. So far, no comment has arrived from either of the two companies, so the confirmation of the rumor is yet to be heard.
