Oct 04, 2011
Things still hot at Betfair After Betfair acknowledged the breach and theft of sensitive player data, a report arrived this week that the betting company's security chief, Sean Catlett, is leaving the company at the end of October. And even though it is believed that this departure has got to do with the aforementioned security breach, the company officials have denied these speculations. In relation to the security breach, security specialists Information Risk Management reported that "appropriate information security governance is not in place within Betfair and as a consequence the business has been exposed to significant risks". Whether or not related to the breach, Betfair has stayed without over 20 security staff members ever since the reports emerged.
