Betgenius on Expansion Move

Acquisition of Boolabus for undisclosed consideration An announcement came this week from sportsbetting software provider Betgenius Ltd that it has acquired a user experience and front-end specialist, Boolabus, for an undisclosed consideration. Boolabus is a relatively young company, founded in 2008, and it is best known for its flagship 'Betstream' products, as well as live betting application development, delivering real-time commentary, statistics and bet suggestions based on live pricing data. Some of its clients include famous sportsbooks, such as Skybet, Totesport, Betfred and Sportingbet. According to Betgenius CEO, Mark Locke, “Having worked closely with Boolabus for many years we are delighted to welcome Brian and his team to Betgenius. Betstream will be a valued addition to our portfolio of products, allowing us to provide our client base with a turnkey end-to-end solution for their betting needs.” On the other side, Brian MacSweeney, founder and managing director of Boolabus, commented: “We've already jointly delivered successful products that have harnessed [both] power and experience. Boolabus has been focused on making the user experience realtime, engaging, measurable and on increasing usage and turnover. "As a result of the acquisition, we've accelerated development of our user experience offering to deliver the multi-platform, data-driven realtime sportsbook that operators want.” MacSweeney has already joined the Betgenius' board, where his input will be of great value both due to his experience in Boolabus, but also because of his extensive professional achievements back at Endemol Gaming, where he took part in creating the Deal or No Deal gaming product range.
