â€¦ Which should kick off this week in New Zealand, online gambling company Betfair has everything ready for the major competition, and has already started advertising through its imaginative new campaign.
The campaign in question involves offering New Zealand farmers a dollar for every sheep they paint with England's St George's Cross during the biggest rugby event in the world. The initiative has been started by England's 2003 World Cup winning centre Will Greenwood, who rounded up his own flock of English sheep, and called on New Zealand farmers to join in.
Apparently, 200 sheep have already been signed up, with many more to come, having in mind New Zealand's 47.2 million sheep.
According to Greenwood, "I'm sure even the All Blacks (New Zealand's national team) will be left feeling a little bit sheepish by this unusual approach."
