Mobile product range gets crucial upgrade It has been reported this week that betting exchange Betfair has introduced an update to its mobile product range. According to the reports, the update involves key upgrades to Betfair Touch, the company's Mobile Web Application, and the launch of updated native iPhone and iPad applications into the Apple store. Betfair Touch's upgrade aims at enhancement of in-play betting, through faster response times, live scores and improved search capabilities. As for the new version of Betfair's native iPhone 2.3 app, this is the first time that it features the ability to deposit and withdraw funds to a registered card solely via a mobile phone. In addition the update involved account loss and deposit limit features, facilitating enhanced player protection and social responsibility. In terms of the updated native iPad app, it now displays full Betfair market depth across all application screens, at the same time allowing the user to place a bet whilst simultaneously viewing a market and their betting position. In a comment on the new developments within the company, Richard Hewitt, Head of Mobile Product at Betfair, said: “Having pioneered betting via mobile, Betfair now has a highly evolved customer proposition in this channel and we believe all three of these Applications will bring an enhanced user experience to our growing band of mobile customers. “We are looking forward to really growing out this key platform with more innovation over the coming year.”
