Openbet Licensees Get More Fraud Protection

Deal with Experian crucial for improvement According to the latest announcement from Openbet, the users of its online gambling platform will soon notice improved anti-fraud and player-verification protection thanks to a deal closed with information services firm Experian. It has been specified that Experian will provide identity and fraud tools that will be integrated into the OpenBet platform, providing operators with an easy access to player verification and anti-fraud services to check identities and payment details in real-time. With such protection in place, operators will be able to prevent issues such as money laundering and underage gaming, at the same time minimizing instances of identity fraud. According to Nick Mothershaw, Experian's director of identity and fraud operations, “By working with OpenBet, we look forward to making a significant contribution to combating validation issues in gaming. The main cause of failed customer signups across the gaming industry is the length of time and margin for error that occurs during player verification. An efficient identification process is essential for maximising the level of trust in customer transactions.” On the other side, Openbet chief executive David Loveday said: "The integration of Experian's real-time identity and fraud tools into the OpenBet platform will simplify operators' business processes and make a considerable difference to their overall performance.”
