Ladbrokes Blocks Polish Players

Giant bookmaker not to apply for Polish license The latest announcement coming from major bookmaker Ladbrokes, states that the company is to stop taking bets and accepting sign-ups from Polish IP Addresses or players who have their country of residence listed as Poland. This decision comes in light of a new Polish gambling legislation that will enter into force in July 2011, and which proscribes that sports betting can be offered only by those operators who obtain a Polish license, which Ladbrokes doesn't intend to apply for, as it already has an EU license. Therefore, all existing players from the market that will from now on be blocked should withdraw funds from their Ladbrokes account, and affiliate payments will be settled by the company by the end of July 2011, it was specified in the bookmaker's statement.
