Irish Punter Goes Missing After Conducting EUR2 Million Fraud

Postal worker apparently engaged in high-roller gambling

Another report of a fraudster arrived this week when an Irish postal service manager Tony O'Reilly (36) went missing after it was discovered that he has conducted a Euro 2 million fraud at Gorey Post Office, probably due to his expensive gambling habits. Namely, it seems that he has been losing as much as Euro 20,000 a day gambling online with Paddy Power.

Due to the fraud investigation, a number of postal staff members have been interviewed, whereas in regards to the case, a Paddy Power spokesman said they could not comment on individual clients: "Our relationship with our customers is private and we do not discuss individual customers. Should any of our customers have an issue with gambling, we have many measures in place to assist them."

O'Reilly has been missing since last Wednesday, when his wife and internal auditors at the post office received a text message from his work mobile, stating that he has been involved in a car crash.

O'Reilly normally carried two mobile phones but neither has been in use recently, and no movements have been noted in his bank accounts.
