Will Hill Challenges English Women’s Football Team

GBP73 000 award if the ladies take down the World Cup The latest reports from the UK Bookmaker William Hill include news that the company has posed a challenge before the English women's football team, stating that it will award GBP 73 000 to the Women's Sports and Fitness Foundation charity (WSFF) if the ladies win the FIFA 2011 World Cup. Apparently the charity and the bookmaker have teamed up to promote women's sport in England, partly with an aim to increase sports media coverage and participation of the female game. According to WSFF CEO Sue Tibballs, "If England win the World Cup it will be a real game changer for women's sport in this country, so we've teamed up with William Hill to celebrate what we think would be the greatest ever moment in women's sport." Graham Sharpe of William Hill also stated: "Women's football is definitely on the up now - the FA Women's Super League has had a great start, and now we're off to Germany to deliver the goods as a national team."
