The deal involves naming rights
In a new development with online betting exchange, Betfair in Australia, the company managed to close a big deal with the New South Wales Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association (NSW GBOTA), which will cover the naming rights to the Group 2 Wentworth Park Gold Cup.
This week the Association also closed a three-year deal with Centrebet, based on which signage, race naming and promotions will be undertaken at Wentworth Park, Bathurst, Bulli, Gosford, Lismore, Maitland, Appin Way, Gunnedah, and Temora.
Regarding the Betfair deal, the Association Chairman, Geoff Rose opined: 'Betfair are a progressive wagering entity and we have great delight in welcoming them on board as the Group 2 Gold Cup sponsor.'
On the other side, Betfair's Media and Communication Manager Hugh Taggart stated: "The sponsorship agreement will only serve to increase the exposure of the outstanding greyhound product already on display in NSW".
