Online gambling ring loses another two members
An investigation conducted by the Utica police for 21 month, has led to another two arrests in the New York State this week.
The arrested persons are Marie Swift (63) and Darrell Swift (31), and they are charged of one count each of misdemeanor fifth-degree conspiracy. The police confirmed that no further arrests are currently in prospect in this case.
The total number of persons arrested on charges for illegitimate online sports betting is now nine.
The arrested persons will be heard at the Utica City Court on Dec. 20. Four of those originally arrested have entered not guilty pleas to charges including promoting gambling.
