Pricey TV Advertising Campaign for Betfred

Dec 17, 2010
Campaign aims at boosting mobile betting A novelty from online bookmaker Betfred.com, reported by NMA.co.uk, introduces a big, six-figure TV advertising campaign which aims at turning the company's mobile betting into a core revenue stream. The campaign is created by a production company Editz, and it strives to raise awareness and promote Betfred's 'bet in play' offering. It also involves Betfred founder Fred Done who has run the business for the past 40 years and built Betfred up from one shop in Salford in 1967 to 850 shops nationwide. "As this is our first major foray into TV it was important we got it right. What better way of delivering our message than the man himself, Fred. After all he's still in everyday driving the Betfred business. We've recently launched our first Android app. It's definitely a growth area for us, showing people how you can bet on the move," said Mark Pearson, the company's Head of Media. In Dec. 2010 and Jan. 2011 the campaign will be launched on Sky Sports and ESPN, alongside Sky Bet and William Hill.
