New Spreadex platform for iPhone or other smartphones A novelty reported in the online bookmaker Spreadex's offering includes the release of its Mobile Sports Betting Platform, intended for iPhone or other smartphones users who'd like to be able to place sports fixed odds and sports spread bets. Such players will now be provided with a chance to bet on the latest in-play sports prices wherever they may be, as well as to manage their account by depositing cash or withdrawing winnings. This platform also allows Spreadex financial spread betting customers to view their open financial positions. However, they still cannot open or close trades. Such option should be provided in the full Mobile Financial Trading Platform, which is expected to be released in early 2011. This is not an 'iPhone app,' but merely a website optimised for use on the iPhone, Android and Symbian^3 operating systems. “We sought feedback from sports spread betting and sports fixed odds betting enthusiasts before starting work on the platform and therefore we've avoided some of the pitfalls of other mobile sports betting apps currently on the market, said Spreadex Marketing Communications Manager Andy MacKenzie, adding: “The result is a slick interface, providing quick access to thousands of sports markets with constantly updating prices, all with the added bonus that punters can choose between sports spread betting or sports fixed odds prices.”
