Police in Utica Arrests Another Three People

Utica continues raids against illegal gambling Another three arrests were conducted by the State Police in a battle against illegal online sport gambling. Prior to this, the 21-month long investigation resulted in the arrests of four Utica, New York State residents, who now face charges in Oneida County Court. In the new developments, the three arrested persons are the following: John P. Lazzaro (60) of Whitesboro, charged with 11 counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 8, 2010. Steven M. Femia (46) of Utica, charged with ten counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 9, 2010. William J. Broedel (50) of Deansboro, charged with eight counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 13, 2010. It was stated by the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit that, as the investigation is continued, more arrests can be expected.
