Update: Four Accused in Utica Enter Pleas

Claiming to be not guilty A local television reporting from Utica, New York, presented an update about the four Americans arrested under internet gambling charges, who on Nov. 29 entered Not Guilty pleas before the court. One of their legal reps stated that a great pressure will be put on the prosecution to separate the confiscated monies from the funds of other legitimate businesses owned by the accused four. The charges are the following: Richard Dorsagno Sr. and John Swift have been accused of a total of 33 counts of promoting gambling and possessing gambling records. Richard Dorsagno Jr., and Susan Dorsagno, Richard senior's wife, have also been charged with promoting gambling. Those charges are a result of a two-year investigation, and the prosecution states that Dorsagno senior and John Swift acted as book makers and took bets, operating via an unnamed internet sports betting website. Accordint to Assistant District Attorney Grant Garramone, state police and the Oneida County District Attorney's Office seized around $220,000, several vehicles, computers and gambling records at the home and businesses of the four accused including the East Utica bar Ricks Place.
