When fair play is more important than the result
« on: September 28, 2012, 04:47:06 AM »
Have you seen this video of Lazio's Klose asking the referee to annul his goal because he scored it with his hand? I found it amazing because it's so rare to see real fair play in football - most of the time they kick and hit each other and roll on the ground pretending they're injured just to get a foul for the other team...

Here's the vid:

Please share if you know of any other moments like this, it could be our special way of promoting fair play. :)

Fair play is always appreciated, and it's always good for sport when someone shows it. I bet it's not easy to do, it's difficult, even at the amateur level.

Klose did something really special there and I admire him for that. Moreover, his side lost the game 3-0 eventually so that makes it even better.

I remember something like this happening in the Romanian top flight a few years ago, a player dived into the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. But the player felt bad about that and told the referee that it wasn't a penalty. However, the main difference is that his side was already leading 3-0...

Yes, another great example. Those things are rare and when they happen we all are amazed but it shuold be a regular thing on the sports fields.
