Top 10 World Cup Songs

The Soccer World Cup is just a month away now, so it's the perfect time to remember the best World Cup songs we have listened to throughout the past soccer-fever summers.

First, my all-time favourite:

Lovely piece of music - turned up the volume!

I was 10 years old at the time and I still remember this song and that summer, probably one of the most beautiful summers of my life. The first one after the fall of the communist regime in Romania, a summer full of hope and optimism. I remember I had a "World Cup notebook" in which I was writing down all the teams, results, goals, even substitutions and yellow cards :)

Do you have any memories of the 1990 World Cup?

I don't have too many memories of the world cup although my brother has created many for me.  He was so excited when England scored a goal in one of them (don't know which one - may well have been the 1990 one thinking about all the circumstances at the time) that he jumped up out of his chair, thrust his arms in the air and punched his fist through the window.  My Mum was away at the time and I remember him having to quickly sort out a replacement window so she didn't know anything about it before she came home.

He could probably tell you what he ate, who he spoke to and what the conversation was as he remembers everything about everything (he has an incredible memory of the past and of course the present).

This probably was the first World Cup song ever, I bet you never heard it before :D

I don't have many memories from the 1990 World Cup, I'm successfully suppressing them. :)

For me the best song is Celebrate the day by Herbert Gronmayer or something like that from Germany

This one is actually from 2004 Euro Cup, but it's my all time fav music which always reminds me of football =) And 24.5.2014 ,  when Real Madrid wins, neighbors beware i'm gonna listen this song with full volumes xD LOL

It's predictable so to speak. I will like it more if my teams do well. :D

I really like the world cup song for ITV which usually plays a sample after and before the Advertisements, The guy who sings it was in the studio last night doing it after the game, really good piece of music.
