    Sunday, September 30th. Berlin Marathon. Wilson Kipsang was about to enjoy his moment of glory after running more than 40 kilometers. He was a few meters away from the tape that marks the finish line. He even set a new world record of 2 hrs 3 mins and 23 secs.

     

    But his moment of glory was ruined. An intrude wearing a t-shirt promoting an escort website, broke the tape just before the athlete.

    The man has been charged with trespassing and has also been banned from future events run by the Berlin marathon’s organisers. That's not nearly enough, I would have kicked his sorry ass for about 2 hours, 3 minutes and 23 seconds.

    It's quite obvious that the escort website paid that guy but I found no indication of an investigation involving them.
