  • Whether Rossi will continue the fight with Marquez?

Does anybody can stop Jorge Lorenzo ?

Whether the Ducati has joined the fight for the title ?

Last season was phenomenal and this one will be even better!

    MotoGP World Championship winner odds:

    Jorge Lorenzo @1.6

    Marc Marquez @2.5

    Valentino Rossi @6

    Dani Pedrosa @19

    Andrea Iannone @19

    Andrea Dovizioso @21

  • First race of the season in Qatar was great.

Excellent fight to the chequered flag between Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Rossi and Marquez .

Yamaha and Honda were faster in the corners, but Ducati was faster at the straight-line.

At the beggining we had five drivers fighting for first place but then Andrea Iannone fall off.

    Next stop - Argentina

These are podium finisher's, while Vale finished 4th.

  • I'm interested in Moto GP but watching a lot more World SBK championship in the last seasons, although there was a title race till the end in Moto GP last season in most of the recent seasons there was clear domination of just one rider. Moto 3 races are a lot more interesting I think. Hopefully someone (Rossi) could break the Spanish domination because it's getting a little annoying lately except for the Spanish fans of course.

  • I agree, i think half of the world hates Marquez and Lorenzo, because of what they did at the end of the season. Ducati is strong this year, so Rossi and them could challenge the Spaniards for the title.

  • Yeah hopefully, I didn't like the Spaniards too much even before the last season but no one could argue that they are the top nation in this sport. Hopefully Valentino Rossi will be back in the title race and who knows maybe some unexpected name to be involved  either.

  • You're right, they are strong, but I like Italians better :D

I hope so, the Doctor must be on top, where he belongs. I think Ducati has a solid chance with Iannone and Dovizioso.

  • Lorenzo didn't do well today in Argentina, finished 14th & Marquez first. My favorite rider is Rossi, of course! He sounds like a cartoon & he is the BEST EVER! I watched a lot a few years ago when Simoncelli, Spies, Rossi, Pedrosa, Hayden those guys got me hooked!  I am gonna have to freshen up my GP game so I can place some wagers & keep up with you guys!

  • Of course Rossi is your favourite ;)

My was guy called Doohan, don't know if anybody heard of him ;D Pretty decent rider.

Hayden was the luckiest man on the earth when he won the title back then and Spies just couldn't get started his Moto GP career at all. Like all this guys and one more Casey Stoner not a bad one too, shame that he retired so early, would be a quite different if he was around.

  • Yeah, i love when Italians speak English, their accent is so funny :D

Maybe you will see him racing. He was a test driver for the Ducati team I think, and there are some stories about him returning to MotoGP :) He was damn quick :) I remember, when i was kid, watching Alex Criville, Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Marco Melandri :)

  • In dying seconds Vale46 was finally able to beat his teammate Lorenzo. Rossi second, Lorenzo third, while Marquez took the pole position.

Awesome qualifying with a lot of crashes.

I expect a close race tomorrow between the first 6 drivers.

  • Another great race in the championship.

An unusual race where drivers had to change their bikes in lap 9,10 or 11, because of high tyre degradation.

We had a great battle for the first place between Marquez and Rossi until they changed bikes. After that Rossi couldn't find the rhythm and Marquez pulled away.

Two Ducati drivers have passed Rossi with two laps to go, and in the final corners Iannone crashed into Dovizioso, and they lost the podium. Rossi took that advantage and finished second, while Pedrosa finished third.

Jorge Lorenzo crashed in the middle of the race.

Probably we are pretty much at same age because those are  the riders I remember  from my childhood, yeah pretty funny those Italians speaking English :)

The early signs are that this wouldl be another Spanish year, this time Marquez and the margin in points is already huge one in his favour but of course it's too early for any conclusions.

  • Yes, it could be. Yesterday, Marquez has shown to us what is he capable for. He just disappeared from Rossi's sight. The gap was about 7 or 8 seconds if I remember correctly, that's huge. But if someone can beat him, thats the Doctor. :)

  • Hopefully mate, I mean for Rossy  ;)

But his last title is back in 2009,  he's not getting  younger and with every season it's become physically harder for him I think, Hope that we'll see him at least one more time at the top.

  • I dont know how he keeps himself motivated, 37 years old and still pushing like hell.

It would be great if he wins the title, that would be his tenth, kinda like small jubilee :D

Yeah hopefully, he probably not thinking of retiring just yet and probably could race for another 3/4 season but maybe would be even tougher with the age if he doesn't succeed this season, but let's wait and see. Biaggi won the title in SBK at 41 so I guess Rossi has a lot of time ahead of him :)

  • I didn't know that about Biaggi :)

Actually, Rossi signed a new contract few days ago, he'll be driving for Yamaha in 2017 and 2018.

Two more years of watching the Doctor, great :)

  • Marc Marquez crashed today, but he was also able to set the fastest lap of the day with a huge seven thents of a second advantage over A. Iannone.

    1. Marc Marquez    2:04.034

    2. Andrea Iannone    +0.706

    3. Maverick Vignales +0.861

Jorge Lorenzo finished on 5th place with 0.867s behind Marquez. Rossi was 6th with a deficit of 0.940s.

  • Qualifying results:

    Front row for todays race:

    1. Marquez93

    2. Lorenzo99

    3. Rossi46

Race starts in about an hour! Enjoy :)

  • Rossi crashed in the race and it's big blow to his ambitions, the early signs are that it's not going to be his season, again :-pp

  • It was a solid race, but not as good as Argentina's GP.

Rossi crashed early, after almost two years.

Marquez won the race, Lorenzo was second and Iannone third.

Pedrosa lost control and crashed into Dovizioso.

All in all, lots of crashes without real batlles.

    1. Marquez93

    2. Lorenzo99

    3. Iannone29

  • Rossi crashed in the race and it's big blow to his ambitions, the early signs are that it's not going to be his season, again :-pp

I hope that you are wrong :) I'm really disappointed with todays race, Marquez was just too quick.

  • Yeah I hope I'm wrong too but I don't think so, we all know what a dominant force is Marquez when he's in form and have the fastest bike, he's willing to make mistake when he's under pressure but with such a  difference in points from the very beginning of the season I'm sure he will be feeling quite comfortable in the next races.

  • Couldn't agree with you more. You can clearly see that he is still a kid when he is under pressure.

I don't like the beginning of this season, it could be a really predictable one.

  • Yeah I guess, last season brings  a pleasant variety in title race with Yamaha improvement but as a whole there were a lot of Maruez mistakes too, this year looks to be the same as a seasons before last which would not be too entertaining for all who are not Marquez fans I guess :)

  • Then it won't be entertaining for like half of the world, maybe even more :D

  • I must admit I didn't like him too much either nor any other of the Spaniards, but the rest of the world should improve quickly or they risk the viewers of that championship to be mainly in Spain, or isn't it  too late for that?

  • I dont agree, the viewers are everywhere. At every track, all tickets are sold for every race. If you were thinking that :D

The main problem is that all other top drivers are from Spain, except few Italians :D

  • No I've meant the TV viewers which is a lot more important I think, not checked the numbers but I'm sure the interest and ratings In MotoGP  are dropped drastically in the last years quite similar as Formula 1.

  • Nothing can drop drastically like F1, even stock market is more reliable than F1 :D

As long as Rossi drives, MotoGP will have a future, after that, like you said, they better pray and find a solution.

  • MotoGP Jerez starts tomorrow.

    Friday

    09:55 CET -Moto GP Jerez:Training 1

    14:05 CET -Moto GP Jerez:Training 2

    Saturday

    09:55 CET -Moto GP Jerez:Training 3

    13:30 CET -Moto GP Jerez:Training 4

14:10 CET -Moto GP - qualifying

    Sunday

14:00 CET -Moto GP Jerez - race

    Enjoy! :)

  • What happened with Lorenzo, he is in Ducati for the next season?

    As I heard for the 25 milion $ ? ?  ;D

  • That's right, I didn't have time to write that. I don't know the exact amount, but he will drive for Ducati next season. Personally, I dont like that move, because I hate him and love Ducati. I'm perfectly happy with Dovi and Iannone :)

  • yeah strange move for me, Dovi is a very good rider but never too much in the title race, I think he's a Little bit soft in the crucial moments. Maybe from Ducati they believe that Lorenzo could bring the title to them.

  • He is soft, but as long as Rossi drives, i dont mind that Dovi is soft :D That's enough for him to finish second , behind Rossi. That's my ideal situation :D

  • Jorge Lorenzo tops the first and second training in Jerez, with the fastest time of 1:39.555.

  • How about Rossi beating Lorenzo & Marquez in Spain??!! Beautiful! I really want him to go out on top! Not likely, but if anyone can pull if off, it's the Doctor! ;)

  • Yes, I didn't have time to write about that.

Spectacular ride by the Doctor, great qualifying, all in all, a flawless weekend :)

  • How about Rossi beating Lorenzo & Marquez in Spain??!! Beautiful! I really want him to go out on top! Not likely, but if anyone can pull if off, it's the Doctor! ;)

Yeah hopefully, no doubt that he's the only guy who could make this, hopefully this result will turn around his season.

  • Moto GP Le Mans starts tomorrow :)

    6.5.2016.

    09:55 CET - Training 1

    14:05 CET - Training 2

    7.5.2016.

    09:55 CET - Training 3

    13:30 CET - Training 4

    14:10 CET - Qualifying

    8.5.2016.

14:00 CET - MotoGP Le Mans - race

    Enjoy :)

  • MotoGP - Qualifying results:

    1 Jorge Lorenzo    1:31.975

    2 Marc Marquez    1:32.416

    3 Andrea Iannone 1:32.469

Lorenzo dominated today, setting the fastest lap ever in Le Mans.

Rossi will start from the third row, from 7th place.

    Race starting tomorrow at 14:00.

    Enjoy :)

  • MotoGP Le Mans - Results:

    1. Lorenzo

    2. Rossi

    3. Vinales

Great race for the Doctor, he had great pace, passing Marquez and Dovi and made his way on to the podium. Later, Marquez and Dovizioso crashed at the same corner, at the same second, never seen that before :D

Maverick Vinales scored the podium for Suzuki, after 8 years of dry period. Their last podium finish was in Brno 2008, Loris Capirossi finished 3rd for Rizla Suzuki, behind Rossi and Elias. :)

  • Yeah great race for Rossi, hopefully it would bring his confidence back after the tough start of the season.

  • He said that this 2nd place is like gold :D It is going to be interesting to the end, all of three title contenders had a crash and now Lorenzo is leading the championship. Marquez is second with five points less and Rossi third, trailling 12 points.

  • Yeah definitely looking interesting now, I hope this season the good fortune will be all over Rossi because I think he was bit unlucky last season. Certainly will be a lot more tougher season for Marquez than it looks after first couple of races.

  • MotoGP is back this weekend in Muggelo, for the Italian GP. By many, the most important GP in the calendar. Enjoy :)

  • Valentino Rossi's teammate for next season will be Maverick Vinales. Jorge Lorenzo will be driving for Ducati next season and there is no place then for Andrea Iannone.

Andrea Iannone decided to accept the Suzuki offer, and he will be driving for Japanese team :)
