In two and a half days Basketball world cup is going to start, so i would like to hear your predictions on group winners and predictions for World cup winner.

My personal pick is Spain as World cup winner. Your opinion?

I'd also pick Spain as winners. But I don't know what kind of team the USA will bring, will there be any NBA players?

I have just checked the odds at Intertops and they have the USA as favourites, pretty good odds on Spain to win the tournament:

United States 1.57

Spain 2.35

Lithuania 29.00

Brazil 31.00

Argentina 34.00

Greece 34.00

Serbia 34.00

I'd also pick Spain as winners. But I don't know what kind of team the USA will bring, will there be any NBA players?

I also think that the group winners will be Spain, Argentina, USA and Lithuania. I think that the USA will win it all.

I think that Croatia have great team this year, they can win medal here, this is big chance for them, they should be behind United States and Spain, Lithuani, Brazil, Argentina and Serbia are not better... But we will see, from Balkan teams always expect the unexpected  :D

My opinion is that Spain does not have learned how to win this tournament.They will have an advantage as playing at home and is sure to have a great team but I think that the United States without the biggest stars are the biggest singular real favorite.

As a candidate for a medal I would be able to intervene Spain, Lithuania, Serbia, and perhaps France.

My prediction of the first three places

1 Usa

2 Spain

3.Serbia

So Spain just lost to France :D how about that? :) waiting tomorrow, my country team will be playing against USA, can't wait! and good luck to France and Serbia, this world champ looks unpredictable.

USA wainting in final, who will be other - France or Serbia ? I think that France have more chances, I don't remember when they had worse team, but I't seems like their destiny is to win this World Cup, but we will see, Serbia is playing very good on this World Cup....

I'd like to see Serbia in the final.

The last few minutes were so intense. :)

yeah man... was crazy... after 18 points lead in the first half and then 14 at the beginning of the last quarter, we allowed them to come back to the game...

Then again they managed to score almost every 3 points shot in that last quarter which was insane...But overall we were better and deservedly so in the finals.

Now I know our chances against the unbeaten team of the USA are slim, but you never know. :)

We once used to be the Dream Team's biggest Nightmare , so hope the history will repeat itself from the Indianapolis 2002!

I think that best bet here is for USA to score less than 97.5 points... Serbia with fanatic defens will stop them lower thatn 97.5 points :)

I was wrong, very wrong  ;D and congratulation to USA but for me Serbia is champion :)

Well, it was expected but good game nevertheless. Congrats to both teams. It's such a big success for Serbia.

Congrats , definitely the USA team is out of this world, and they absolutely deserved to win the Cup.  :-bd

But also congrats to our boys who played really well and made us proud again :)
