A Superb... Own Goal!
« on: July 16, 2012, 12:50:25 PM »
His name is Yevgeny Eliseev and he plays soccer for Hoverla Zakarpatia Ujgorod in the Ukrainian league. He's a defender so he doesn't get too much glory...

But in the game against Odessa he stepped up :)

The lad played a perfect lob over his own keeper, who seemed to be rolling on the grass laughing after conceding the goal. The coach was even better as he was asking his player if he's not totally crazy by any chance.

That goalie's reaction is classic and the coach clearly thought they were a bit crazy.  What a superb own goal though.  Thanks for that Johnny.

Such a great own goal deserves more appreciation I guess, the referee should have awarded the team a goal for and one against for this effort :)

What an amazing goal it was! Poor guy, it wasn't his attention to do that, but sometimes things just don't go the way they should. I would usually laugh about this... but the goal was great. :)
