A few seconds between glory and pain
« on: May 14, 2012, 12:43:20 PM »
You all know by now what happened in the last match day of the English Premier League. Manchester United ended their game at Sunderland 1-0 and, at that point, they were going to be crowned champions.

But Man City's game against QPR was not over yet and, as you can see in the video, the mood suddenly changed on both stadiums:

Quite impressive.

I was a big Manchester United fan, but now I don't really have time to follow the English premier league as much as I used to. Man City was great this season as well and they deserved the title.

Apparently it cost William Hill a 7 figure sum to pay out all the winning bets on Man City during the in-play betting.  Man City went out to 12/1 to win the league in the last few minutes of betting.

Betfred also paid out loads of cash during the in-play betting.

Oh dear what a shame!  ;)

Well, I would never have bet on City to win after the 89th minute, never. So I guess that all those who did really deserved some reward for their courage.
