Chelsea will be desperate to get a win against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, otherwise their poor start to the season might turn into a catastrophe. The reigning champions have thrown away no less than 13 points after seven league matches so far, while Southampton are also struggling with just two wins since the start of the campaign. Jose Mourinho has never lost a league match to Southampton. The Saints have won once at Stamford Bridge out of 13 visits. Last season both matches between the two teams ended as 1-1 draws.
Chelsea have won just two league games so far and are in an unlikely 14th place in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Manchester United. Captain John Terry seems to be on Jose Mourinho's black list, the veteran defender has not been in the starting line up in four of the last five matches. This week Chelsea suffered yet another defeat, this time in the Champions League at the hands of FC Porto. The Blues' defence, which was rock-solid last season, has now leaked no less than 14 goals in seven matches. Diego Costa is still unavailable due to a suspension, while Thibaut Courtois remains on the injured list.
Southampton have not been doing great either, they have clinched just two wins so far this season. However, last weekend they have beaten Swansea City 3-1, a result which gives them hope for more points in the coming matches. However, their away form is worrying, with no wins at all in their last 10 matches on the road. Jory Clasie might make his return from injury, but he will most likely be given a place on the bench.
Probable line-ups:
Chelsea: Begovic - Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta - Matic, Fabregas - Pedro, Oscar, Hazard - Remy
Southampton: Stekelenburg - Cedric, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand - Wanyama, Ward-Prowse - Tadic, Davis, Mane - Pelle
My prediction: Chelsea to win 1-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Chelsea win - 1.80 Draw - 3.75 Southampton win - 5.00

This is season from nightmares for everybody in Chelsea, for their players, fans and special for Jose Mourinho. He was always good as manager in Chelsea but this season I think that he should give up and leave this team to another manager because I think that he can't rescue Chelsea this season.

Chelsea is in worse form in last few seasons. They never had played so bad.I am sure that there will be many cuts in the next transfer window.I can see Jose Mourinho making some big changes due to poor form of many players.I expect to see 2 or 3 defenders to make defence line stronger.

I don't know what is going on with Chelsea. They are embarrassed this season. I can not believe how bad they play. Many players are in a bad shape and Mourinho does not have the appropriate changes. They have a lot to do to get back in good form. Hazard, Costa, Matic, Ivanovic, Terry and others are good players and they...

In this match, Chelsea opened the score in min. 10 by Willian. After that Chelsea had a nightmare after Southampton scored 3 times. Pellè G. had 2 assists (min. 44, goal by Davis S. and min. 60, goal by Mane S.). After 2 assist he closed score after he scored for 3-1 (assist by Mane S.). For sure man of the match was...

Chelsea has a lot of bad luck this season. I don`t know what happened with this team.

Both teams not at their best at the moment, and especially Chelsea is maybe the most underperforming team in the Premier League I think.
