FA Cup: Arsenal vs Manchester City preview
Arsenal and Manchester City clash at Wembley on Sunday with a place in the FA Cup final at stake. Manchester City have won the first direct meeting of the season in December, it ended 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium as Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling turned things around for the Citizens after Theo Walcott had scored an early goal. The two teams have met again at the beginning of April at the Emirates Stadium, it ended 2-2 after Arsenal managed to fight back twice from a goal down. Arsenal are going through a bleak period, they have lost no less than seven of their last thirteen matches in all competitions, crashed out of the Champions League and also dropped out of the top four in the Premier League. The FA Cup might save Arsene Wenger some face but it's unlikely that it would stop the fans asking for his resignation. Last time out they squeezed past Middlesbrough on Monday, recording a 2-1 victory that keeps their top-four hopes alive in the Premier League. Central defender Shkodran Mustafi has picked up a thigh injury and will be unavailable for this match, but Danny Welbeck could recover in time. Manchester City were also knocked out of the Champions League but their recent form is a lot better than Arsenal's, with just two matches lost in all competitions since the start of February. Last weekend they won 3-0 at Southampton to record their second consecutive league victory after having lost 2-1 at leaders Chelsea. John Stones missed last weekend's match but he should be able to play on Sunday, while Gabriel Jesus has returned to training and might be given a spot on the bench. Probable line-ups: Arsenal: Cech - Gabriel, Koscielny, Holding - Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Monreal - Ozil, Sanchez - Giroud Man City: Bravo - Navas, Stones, Kompany, Clichy - Fernandinho - Sane, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling - Aguero My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Arsenal win - 4.00 Draw - 4.00 Man City win - 1.91
