UEFA Champions League: Arsenal vs Ludogorets Razgrad preview
High-flying Arsenal will be looking to extend their ten-match unbeaten streak in all competitions when they host Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday. The two sides have never met before but Ludogorets have a decent record against English clubs, they played Liverpool twice in 2014 and secured a 2-2 draw at home and a narrow 2-1 defeat at Anfield Road. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last ten matches and they won all their last six games, scoring an impressive 17 goals in the process. They kicked off the Champions League campaign with a good 1-1 draw at Paris Saint-Germain and then secured a 2-0 victory at home over Basel. Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey and Carl Jenkinson remain out of contention due to injuries and fitness issues, but Olivier Giroud could make his way back into the squad. Ludogorets have not lost many matches this season either, just two, and it's worth mentioning that their campaign started as early as July 13th as they had to go through the Champions League qualification rounds. They started the group stage with a very good 1-1 draw at Basel but then got beaten 3-1 at home by Paris Saint-Germain. Nevertheless, they have nothing to lose in this match and their ability on counter-attacks should not be taken lightly by Arsene Wenger's men. Probable line-ups: Arsenal: Ospina - Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs - Cazorla, Coquelin - Walcott, Ozil, Iwobi - Sanchez Ludogorets: Stoyanov - Minev, Moti, Palomino, Pimienta - Misidjan, Dyakov, Anicet, Wanderson - Marcelinho - Cafu My prediction: Arsenal to win 3-1.
