Reigning Italian champions Juventus have confirmed the signing of Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for 75.3 million pounds. The striker, aged 28, has signed a five-year contract with Juventus after the club paid his buy-out clause worth 90 million euro. This is the third most expensive transfer in the history of football and the biggest domestic transfer of all time. Higuain had joined Napoli from Real Madrid for 35 million pounds in 2013 and has been linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal during the last few years.
The most expensive transfer in the world remains that of Gareth Bale, who moved from Tottenham to Real Madrid for 85 million pounds, while Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Manchester United to Real Madrid was worth 80 million pounds. The previous record for a domestic transfer was held by Fernando Torres, who was bought by Chelsea from Liverpool for 50 million pounds.
Higuain was the top goal scorer in the Italian Serie A last season with a tally of 36 goals. Napoli finished second behind champions Juventus last season despite their striker becoming only the second player this century to score more than 30 goals in a Serie A season after Luca Toni had bagged 31 goals for Fiorentina 10 years ago. This big-money move could mean that Juventus will be willing to accept an offer reportedly around 100 million pounds for Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
Juventus are 1/2 at Bet365 to win the Serie A again next season.

Probably the biggest transfer of last couple of years, at least money vise. Gonzalo Higuain is without a doubt one of the best strikers in the world. Only reason he left Real Madrid in the first place was because they wanted to give Benzema no-competition free to play kind of deal. But that in my opinion didn't work out...

Only reason he left Real Madrid in the first place was because they wanted to give Benzema no-competition free to play kind of deal. But that in my opinion didn't work out so great. Some medias are saying that only reason they signed Higuain is because they are expecting even bigger money when Pogba leaves. But I think that even Pogba wouldn't leave this kind of a strong Juventus, and go back to Manchester when he wasn't respected and won't be playing Champions League that his curent club is aiming for this season.

To be honest I didnt believe that this transfer is going to be completed. Medias rumored about it for weeks, and I expected it to end once transfer window is over. But, unfortunately for non-Juventus fans in Italy, this transfer actually happen. Juventus is now without a doubt top contender for Seria A with no rivals close...

But, unfortunately for non-Juventus fans in Italy, this transfer actually happen. Juventus is now without a doubt top contender for Seria A with no rivals close to him even for miles away. Now Juventus is even one of top 3 teams that are aiming for Champions League trophy.

On this way, they destroying competition in the fight for the title, sommething like Bayern Munich in Germany. I think other teams have no chance against them, and in the Champions League they can reach far. This team will be respectable, with Paul Pogba or without him. Gonzalo Higuain could be the godhead of Naples as Maradona, but he chose the money. Now he is a traitor. I think that the picture doesn't match the text, please change it.
