Premier League: Michy Batshuayi set to join Chelsea
Chelsea are set to sign Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi after the youngster completed a medical in France. The player is currently at Euro 2016 with the Belgium national team after being linked with most of Europe's big clubs before the summer transfer window. He scored 17 goals for Marseille in the French top flight last season. Belgium head coach Marc Wilmots has allowed the striker to leave the team camp in order to meed the Chelsea team doctor and undergo the medical ahead of the move to Chelsea. The transfer fee is believed to be around 33 million pounds, with Chelsea beating competition from fellow Premier League sides West Ham, Crystal Palace and Tottenham. Batshuayi was expected to take part in Belgium's news conference ahead of Friday's Euro 2016 quarter-final match against Wales, but he was pulled out in order to focus on the transfer. Belgium head coach Marc Wilmots said he was not worried about the striker not concentrating on Friday's match. Batshuayi made his senior debut at Belgian top-flight side Standard Liege at the age of 18 and then went on to score 39 goals in 97 games during three seasons. He moved to Marseille in 2014 for 4.5 million pounds and scored 33 goals in 78 appearances in the French top flight. He is a technical striker that likes to dribble but he is also strong and capable of holding up the ball to bring other team mates into play. Chelsea have Diego Costa as their main striker but new manager Antonio Conte might choose to play with two strikers, leaving a spot open for the young Belgian. Chelsea are 13/2 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.
