Everton are interested in appointing Southampton boss Ronald Koeman as their new manager and have already started discussions, according to Sky Sports sources. Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has discussed with Southampton and Koeman and Everton would have to pay 3 million pounds in compensation to the Saints. It is believed that Moshiri and Koeman have discussed about the transfer budget and other details relevant to the future of the club.
The Toffees have also been linked with Unai Emery and Frank De Boer but it seems their top favourite at the moment is Ronald Koeman. The Dutch manager has led Southampton to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season, while Everton finished 11th under former manager Roberto Martinez. The Spaniard was sacked at the end of the season, despite having reached the semi-finals of both domestic cup competitions.
Ronald Koeman is a former Dutch international, with 78 caps and 14 goals for his nation between 1982 and 1994. He played for Barcelona between 1989 and 1995 and in 1998 he became an assistant manager at the Blaugrana. As manager he won the Dutch top flight title with Ajax on two occasions and then once with PSV Eindhoven, while in Spain he won the Copa del Rey with Valencia in 2008.
Everton are 16/1 at Bet365 to finish inside the Premier League top four next season.

I dont see the point for Koeman to coach Everton after Southampton. And i was hoping Manuel Pellegrini will take over Everton cuz im a fan of Pellegrini and he would be great for Everton and he left Manchester City with the fifth highest win percentage in Premier League history.

Robert Koeman is great coach, he is doing good job with Southampton, he knows with young and talented players. That would be good job for Everton, but for Koeman too, Everton is bigger club than Southampton, he would have bigger budget and more freedom, so I hope that this transfer will happen.

Eventho I feel sad for Everton for having horrible season, while having class players like Lukaku and Stones in their squad, I am even more sad for Southampton since Ronald Koeman has built a decent team with some great individuals who could finish even higher next season under his command. I just cant see anyone else replacing him there. Also, Everton would get a great manager who would for sure raise this team up to a top table finish that they deserve.
