Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis says the club are not considering a replacement for Arsene Wenger and insists the French manager has a long-term future at the Gunners. Wenger enters the final year of his contract with the club after 20 years in charge. He is Arsenal's longest serving manager to date and he led the club to nine major trophies. The Frenchman won six FA Cups and earned Champions League qualification every single season, but some fans are unhappy because the Gunners have not been able to mount serious challenges for the Premier League title lately. Their last league title was in 2004.
"Wenger is in his mid-sixties, it's natural to think about when his time here might come to an end, but the truth is nobody knows," Ivan Gazidis said in an interview for The Telegraph. "He is in fantastic shape. He is deeply engaged and excited. One of the biggest challenges we will face is the transition, whenever it happens, but that is not something we are going to be facing imminently. Obviously, he is going to be managing us next year and we are planning and making many decisions for the long term."
Arsenal finished second last season behind surprise champions Leicester. Their first transfer move of the summer was the signing of Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka. "We have to be disappointed, certainly not satisfied, to end up second," Gazidis added. "We wanted more than that and I think that there were chances during the season. We are taking a long, hard, realistic look at why we fell short of our ambitions. You can't say second place is a disaster, but it's not what we are about. We are in a position that we were not in four or five years ago where we don't have to sell our best players. We can go and sign world-class players if and when the manager identifies them."
Arsenal are 6/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

I think if the titles are not coming something is wrong, is the title of Premier, or any Cup, UCL, Europe league, the fans want trophies. Arsen Wenger is my favorite Coach in English Premier League. He always have special plan for Arsenal , but in the last few seasons , many people say that Wenger is not good coach , and that is the reason why Arsenal is not good as few years ago.. I Think that is not true , and this decision is very good for Arsenal.

I think that he should go, he has done really great job in Arsenal, but in last years when Arsenal have more money than ever, fans are expecting some titles, but they are not getting it. Everything has start and the end, Ferguson is good example, he knew that his time is over, Arsene should think more about that and more...

"Show must go on". "Show must go on". Eventho Gunners fans have been shouting Arsene Wenger that his time is over, that they seek trophies beside FA cup once in a few season, seems like French mastermind is not going anywhere. And he shouldn't. He made Arsenal that it is today - a world class and world known team, which makes higher profit in Premier League. And that is what is important for the board I guess. He might need around 100 million euros to contest title tho.
