Britain's world number three Andy Murray has decided to part company with French coach Amelie Mauresmo after two years. Murray said that he had learnt a great deal from the former French player but they have agreed to end their collaboration.
"Dedicating enough time along with the travel has been a challenge," Mauresmo said. Murray started working with Mauresmo in June 2014 and their partnership has led to seven ATP titles, including his first two triumphs in clay-court tournaments. However, Murray has failed to win any more Grand Slam tournaments during his partnership with Mauresmo.
They have released a joint statement saying: "She's been a calming influence in the team and we will all miss having her around. I'll take some time to consider the next steps and how we progress from here, but I'd like to thank her for everything she has done. She's been an invaluable member of the team." Mauresmo added: "Working with Andy over the last two years has been a fantastic experience for me. I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of the great team of people he has around him. I wish him and the team well and I hope he goes on to win many more titles."
Murray has lost the Madrid final on Sunday to Novak Djokovic and has dropped to third in the world rankings as a result. He has won the US Open in 2012 and Wimbledon in 2013 under former coach Ivan Lendl. He is 8/1 at Bet365 to win the next Grand Slam tournament, the French Open.

It was a strange appointment at first place and I'm not surprised of what happened next. But maybe the problem was the luck of Grand Slam titles for Murray during that period. In fact Andy has only 2 GS titles won under just one coach Ivan Lendl so I think the solution is obvious give him all that he wants and bring him back for your coach. But the problem probably is that Lendl doesn't want anything but playing golf.

He was tromendeous in Rome last week by wining Novak Djokovic in the final. I think he has a great chance to win Roland Garros but we can newer roll out Rafael Nadal whos form is climbing. Unfortinetally i think Novak again wont win the last Grand Slam that is missing him :(

I think she just wasn't good enough. We all do know that Andy Murray is a great talent. He used to be Novak Djokovic's biggest rival back in the day when they were teenagers. So he just needs to get a male coach, and to set his head straight cause I think that is his biggest weakness. We do live in Djokovic era, so attacking...

I think that termination of this cooperation is just another try of Murray to manage to beat Novak Djokovic. Although he has improved a lot in the past few years I think it still hard to do. I am sure he will give his best on its way, but I also think that changing the coach is not always the best solution because she has...

Andy is a great tennis player, but in this competition, he will always be number 2. He is making significant progress since 2014 this year, Amelie had a lot of influence on his game, and progress is actually sees. I am not a tennis expert, bu I follow this sport for a long time, Andy is now better than Nadal and Federer, but he can never compromise the domination of Novak Djokovic. It is very difficult to win the title if it is on the other side of the field Novak.
