Tottenham threw away a two-goal lead at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, Chelsea made it 2-2 and handed Leicester City the Premier League title with two games to spare. Manager Claudio Ranieri has led the club to the first league title in their history and it was a journey against all odds, as the Foxes were 5000/1 to win the title at the start of the season, after barely escaping relegation the season before.
Ranieri said: "I'm so proud. The players have been fantastic. Their focus, their determination, their spirit has made this possible. It's an amazing feeling and I'm so happy for everyone. I'm a pragmatic man - I just wanted to win match after match. Never did I think too much about where it would take us. Every game they fight for each other and I love to see this in my players. I'm happy for my players, for the chairman, for the staff at Leicester City, all our fans and the Leicester community."
Captain Wes Morgan, aged 32, said: "I can't wait to get my hands on the trophy. I've never known a spirit like the one between these boys. Everyone's worked so hard for this. Nobody believed we could do it, but here we are, Premier League champions and deservedly so. People saw it last season when everyone expected us to be relegated, but we fought back to prove people wrong."
Jamie Vardy, the club's top goal scorer this season with 22 goals, was playing non-league football at Fleetwood Town just four years ago. The striker said: "It's an unbelievable feeling. I've never known anything like it. We were scrapping to stay in the league last season and on Saturday we'll be lifting the trophy. That gives you an idea of how much hard work has gone into this season from every single player and member of staff. It's the biggest achievement in the history of a great club and we all feel privileged to be part of it. It's even more special to have done it with these lads. Every minute of hard work we've put in on the training pitch has been worth it for this moment."
Leicester City are 25/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title again next season.

What Ranieri and his players did this season is just beyond amazing. It could be even called biggest surprise in English football ever I think. No doubt Ranieri deserves that because of his unbelievable career but mainly because of Leicester performance this season. The impossible dream became reality...

A sport fairy tale of 21th century has has became reality. After amazing season Leicester City has done what not even biggest football fanatics would dream of at the start of season. Amazing form. Great team spirit/. Avoided injuries. Top English teams had shaky season. Everything was a part of a one big puzzle. Football has won over money. Let's hope that they will keep this team for Champions League next season, and with just a few signings they can create a miracle even on pitches all around the Europe.
