Back Premier League: Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez admits fear of injury

Arsenal star striker Alexis Sanchez has revealed he is afraid of suffering another injury, and that fear might be the cause of his not so great form of late. Sanchez had been in outstanding form between September and Octomber 2015, scoring 10 goals in six matches for Arsenal and the Chile national team. But then he suffered a hamstring injury in November, was out until January and only managed to score three goals since his return.

27-year-old Sanchez said: "Before my injury I was 100 per cent fit, I was feeling very well. After the injury I wanted to get back but it was hard. I had a setback and when I played I was scared I'd get injured again because the thing I like most in the world is playing football and when I can't play I feel sad."

His lack of consistency in front of goal also caused Arsenal to slip 11 points behind Premier League leaders Leicester, but the Gunners have a game in hand that could revive their title hopes. "I am never satisfied with what I do. I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League. I always want to win everything," Sanchez added. "If I lose I always go home sad, I can't sleep and that upsets me. Football is my life."

Arsenal visit West Ham on Saturday and Alexis Sanchez is 8/5 at Bet365 to score a goal in that match.
