Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is fully convinced that he can still claim a place in England's squad for the European Championships. He made his international debut at Wembley on Wednesday against the Netherlands and his performance was quite impressive as he was named man of the match. This was the last friendly for Roy Hodgson's team before the boss has to name his final 23-man squad for the final tournament in France.
"Hopefully I've not done myself any harm, it's just about carrying on now until the end of the season, and seeing if I can add to it," Drinkwater said after the match. "The lads have made it easy for me all week, it's an easy team to settle in to. A bit of game time helped me tonight, I was able get on the ball, so it's been easy to settle into the squad. I enjoyed it, I saw plenty of the ball, but maybe could have moved it a bit faster. I enjoyed the position."
Leicester team-mate Jamie Vardy scored for England but the Netherlands fought back and eventually won 2-1. Vardy also scored in Saturday's match against Germany, so he is quite certain to make the 23-man squad if he will be fit. The two players have been an integral part of Leicester City's surprising Premier League title challenge this season.
Danny Drinkwater is 1/1 at Bet365 to make the England Euro 2016 squad, while Jamie Vardy is 1/16 to make the 23-man squad.

Will all the respect for other players that are candidates for the spot at Euro 2016, I think that Danny Drinkwater probably deserved it the most. Also, England squad in general has to relay on players that pulled out great season in order for them to have a shot at higher places this summer.

Six months ago it would be a ridiculous thing to think that Drinkwater could be a part of the English squad at Euro 2016 but now it's quite possible. This just shows the incredible season Danny has in Leicester. For me he is one of the most important players in Leicester team if not the vital one. He's the connection between defense and forwards and he's the significant role in both faces of the game and Leicester progress as a whole. So good luck to him and hopefully he would be invited in the English team which would be quite deserved I think.

Drinkwater is quite a talented player and he can count himself a place in the plane to the France on the summer. His performances this year were marvelous.I am quite sure that few other Leicester City players could be tried matches before the final decision for Roy Hodgeson.

I'm pretty confident that Danny Drinkwater is going to find himself a place in England final Euro 2016 squad. He is having good season and maybe his biggest rival for squad spot is Jack Wilshere. Drinkwater played good game against Holland and I really see him close England final squad.
