Bundesliga: Hoffenheim appoint 28-year-old manager
Julian Nagelsmann has become the youngest manager in Bundesliga history after being appointed by Hoffenheim. He is just 28-year-old and has managed the under-19s team until now. He replaces Huub Stevens, aged 62, as first-team manager. Stevens resigned due to health problems. Nagelsmann was in line to take the job next season but now he has to steer the team away from relegation after signing a three-year contract with the club. Hoffenheim are currently 17th in the Bundesliga table (out of 18 teams), and they are seven points away from safety. They have won just two matches out of twenty so far this season, scoring 18 goals and conceding 30. They have not won a match since December, when they edged past bottom club Hannover. Nagelsmann said: “It's a big challenge of course, made harder by the current points situation. But I am looking forward to working with the team.” Hoffenheim are currently 4/7 to get relegated this season at Bet365.
