Back Premier League: Leicester City vs Manchester United preview

Surprising Premier League leaders Leicester City will be trying to retain top spot with a victory over title challengers Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. The Red Devils are one point behind the Foxes at the top of the rankings. Last season Leicester clinched a spectacular 5-3 victory over Man United at the King Power Stadium, but Louis Van Gaal and his men got revenge with a 3-1 at Old Trafford. United have won 10 of the previous 11 league matches against Leicester.

What started as a pleasant surprise grew into a real shock as Leicester are leading the Premier League table after 13 matches. Most people expected them to fight for survival, as they did last season, but new manager Claudio Ranieri has led the club to stunning results so far. An important contribution was given by striker Jamie Vardy, who scored last weekend in the 3-0 victory over Newcastle. He bagged goals in 10 consecutive Premier League matches and is looking to break Ruud van Nistelrooy's record if he scores again this weekend. Matty James is the only unavailable player for Leicester due to a serious knee injury he sustained last summer.

Manchester United produced yet another goalless draw this week when they faced PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League. The fans were not pleased and jeers could be heard at the end of the match. However, United are still well into the race for the Premier League title, if they beat Leicester they will go top of the table. Louis Van Gaal will probably change a few names in his line up compared to the Champions League match, Juan Mata should feature while Jesse Lingard might be placed on the bench.

Probable line-ups:

Leicester: Schmeichel - Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs - Drinkwater, Kante, Albrighton, Mahrez - Ulloa, Vardy

Man United: De Gea - Young, Smalling, Jones, Blind - Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger - Depay, Rooney, Mata - Martial

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Leicester win - 3.10 Draw - 3.50 Man United win - 2.40
