One of the most interesting matches of this Thursday's Europa League batch of fixtures is the clash between AS Monaco and Tottenham at Stade Louis II. The visitors have started their European campaign with a win and are full of confidence after last weekend's comprehensive victory over Manchester City. The only previous meeting between the two sides was a friendly match in 2013, which Monaco won 5-2.
Monaco have been struggling in Ligue 1 so far, with just three victories out of eight matches this season. Last weekend they recorded a 3-3 draw at Guingamp, throwing away a lead that they had held for three times during the match. Anthony Martial, Aymen Abdennour, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco all left the club this summer and it seems that their replacements are not exactly up to par, at least until now. Their Europa League campaign started with a 1-1 away draw at Anderlecht.
Spurs demolished Premier League title favourites Manchester City 4-1 at White Hart Lane last weekend to record their third consecutive league victory. Their Europa League campaign started with a 3-1 win over Qarabag FK, with new signing Heung-Min Son scoring twice. Ryan Mason could make his return after a knee injury while Moussa Dembele could also be on the pitch again after recovering from an ankle problem.
Probable line-ups:
AS Monaco: Subasic - Carvalho, Wallace, Raggi, Toure, Fabinho - Bakayoko, Silva - Lemar, Dirar, El Shaarawy
Tottenham: Lloris - Trippier, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Rose - Mason, Dier; Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli - Son
My prediction: 1-1 draw.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Monaco win - 2.20 Draw - 3.40 Tottenham win - 3.60

This was most interesting clash of the round. Two very strong teams that are capable of going all the way this season in Europa League. We have seen goals scored by 2 wonderkids. Both El Shaarawy and Lamela are still young and they still can become top stars.

Yes it's definitely one of the most interesting games tonight. Tottenham are over the moon after the smashing victory against City in the Premier League but they will face one tough opponent, Monaco is very dangerous team and although they haven't had the best season so far in League 1 it will be very tough for Spurs to defeat them away. Hope we'll see many goals but have no idea how is going to end this one.

Probably biggest derby of 2nd leg of Europa League grupstage. Both teams haven't reached their peek this season, but non the less we should be having interesting match with a lot of goals. Monaco is favourite on paper, but after their recent preformances I would have to disagree. Tottenham had great game last weekend when...
Probably biggest derby of 2nd leg of Europa League grupstage. Both teams haven't reached their peek this season, but non the less we should be having interesting match with a lot of goals. Monaco is favourite on paper, but after their recent preformances I would have to disagree. Tottenham had great game last weekend when they beated leader Manchester City on away territory. My predictions: - Result: 2:2 with both team leading once - Man of the match: Christian Eriksen
