An article titled, “Big Bet – How Jason Robins is blowing up the $15 billion world of fantasy sports,” has recently been featured in Fortune Magazine. It details DraftKings, the daily fantasy sports-contest provider, based in Boston, and its chief executive officer, Jason Robins.
DraftKings has recently seen a major increase in sign-ups, due to advertising in the media just in time for the start of the NFL season. In fact, it saw 200,000 sign-ups in just a 24-hour period, an unbelievable increase since its origin in 2012.
Chief executive officer, Jason Robins, completed schooling at Duke University. After graduating college, he spent some time doing marketing duties for Capital One, before taking on a position at VistaPrint, during which time, the idea for DraftKings was conceived by he and two of his co-workers, Matthew Kalish, and Paul Liberman. Among the top of his accomplishments is his ranking at #8 on Fortune's “40 Under 40” list for 2015.
In regards to DraftKings customers, Robins stated, “Once they try it, they like it. It's sticky.”

DraftKings are one of the biggest daily fantasy sports provider but I think 200,000 new users under 24 hours is a really incredible and fantastic news for them. Advertising in the media is always a good thing especially when men is watching the TVs.

It was obvious that Draft Kings business growing rapidly in the last months especially at the start of the NFl season which I think is the biggest event for them, but 200 00 new signings in just 24 hours time frame is just crazy. I watch many NFL games in the last years but I've never seen so many TV adverts on DFS companies...
