Back Tennis: Williams sisters to meet in US Open quarter-finals

World number one Serena Williams continues her pursuit of a Grand Slam this season after securing a difficult victory over 19th seed Madison Keys at the US Open. Williams won 6-3 6-3 to set up a quarter-final match against her sister Venus. Serena is now just three wins away from completing the first calendar Grand Slam since Steffi Graf in 1988.

Serena's powerful serve was broken no less than five times in the first three matches at the US Open but she steadied the ship when it was most needed. Against Keys she served almost perfectly, not allowing a single break point. "I served much better today," Williams said after the match. "I'm so proud I was able to serve better. Obviously I had to - I knew I wouldn't have too many chances to break."

Keys cracked with two double faults in a row in game eight and was broken by Serena, who then served out the set. The second set was also dominated by Williams, who missed a few break points before converting to take a 4-3 lead. A double fault from Keys ended the match after just 68 minutes. The next match will see Serena, aged 33, face her 35-year-old sister Venus, who beat Estonia's Annett Kontaveit 6-2 6-1 in the previous round.

The match will take place on Tuesday night, here are the odds at Bet365:

Serena Williams win - 1.11 Venus Williams win - 6.50
