On Tuesday, Thai police in Pattaya invaded three residential rental properties searching for illegal online gambling operations.
During the raid, police discovered that the operators were from South Korea, which seems to be a common occurrence this year in Malaysia and Thailand in terms of gambling busts.
Police apprehended 11 South Koreans including one female according to police spokesman Maj Gen Nitipong Niamnoi. He also noted that the suspects were part of the same group using Thai-based servers that have been accepting bets worth over Bt10 million from their fellow South Koreans over the course of the last month.
Documents and 20 computers were seized from the three houses.

The illegal online gambling is spread all across the world but particularly In Malaysia and Thailand is literally at every corner. It's not easy for the Thai police to react with so many illegal organizations out there but I guess that they do what they can. But still the illegal gambling is a major problem in this part...

It is good to have operations like this.In many countries, unfortunately, illegal gambling is very developed. It is very bad for the budget of that country. Every government must make decisions that will help stopping this kind of criminal. It is the money that can be used on some good things for the state.
