Andy Murray fought past the immense serving of 6ft 11in Croatian Ivo Karlovic to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the eighth consecutive year. Murray won 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 5-7 6-4 in three hours and three minutes. Karlovic seemed ready to fight till the end when he clinched the third set but Murray broke his serve in the fourth set to win the match. The number three seed will face Canadian player Vasek Pospisil in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
"I came up with some good lobs and passing shots. I just needed to keep him low," Murray said after the match. "It was an incredibly difficult match. It was mentally tiring. Maybe not as tiring physically due to the points being so quick. You've always got to be ready to take your chances. It's about getting the balance right and getting through. It wasn't going to be the best tennis, it was about getting through."
Roger Federer had a much easier task against Roberto Bautista-Agut, the Swiss wrapped up the match in three quick sets, 6-2 6-2 6-3. Fellow Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka also pulled through with a straight-sets victory over Belgium's David Goffin, while France's Gilles Simon pulled off a surprise as he defeated Tomas Berdych 6-3 6-3 6-2.
Stan Wawrinka is 1.44 at Bet365 to win the quarter-final match against Richard Gasquet while Murray is 1.062 to go past Pospisil.

Murray is simply one of the best tennis players on he world, he is playing on his home turf ahead of his supporters, and I believe that he has a lot of chances to get Wimbledon trophy this year. He will have several opponents like Novak and Roger, and it will be very tough for him, but I believe that he has quality to beat...

Ivo Karlovic played great game and he did everything he could. He won one set, was close to win the second but failed. Andy Murray was at the expected level. He attacked when he had the chance and in the end he deservedly won. He plays great this season, and I think he can win a trophy at Wimbledon.

It was a dramatic match all the way, maybe Andy Murray won deservedly in the end but definitely there was many break chances for Karlovic in the fourth set but he didn't take advantage of them. There was also some critical points in which the luck was also at the Murray's side. Honestly with this kind of performance I will...

Except of Nadal's early defeat on Wimbledon so far all matches are going as expected. I agree with rikimartin, this match between Ivo Karlovic and Andy Murray was very interesting and Andy's win was well deserved. He is playing great tennis on grass and he proves that this year too. Great match we watched yesterday. Andy Murray deservedly won after three hours of play. Murray played better key points in almost every sets and he deserve to win. Now, he will play against Vasek Pospisil and I expect one more win for Murray. He is in great shape and this season he might win at Wimbledon.
