The Coates family owners of bet365 and sponsors of the Stoke City football club in England, have decided to temporarily remove the casino logo from the club's strip during the 2015 Barclays Asia Trophy tournament in Singapore.
The decision was made in order to avoid violation of the city-state's stringent anti-online gambling law prohibiting promotion and wagering on remote gaming sites.
As an alternative, Stoke City will wear a strip representing the One Goal charity, which helps approximately 200 million underprivileged local children.

Ok this is nothing unusual when you have different marketing rights on different markets. I support this move of the company because they don't want to mess up with law authorities where they don't have a market at all because of law. What happens in Singapoor stays in Singapoor kind of staff :)

This is a good decision from Bet365 owners and a logical one too. I didn't know about that anti-gambling law in Singapore but this could easily bring some issues and probably a fine for the bookmaker, that's why they reacted immediately and save themselves some troubles. The laws in any particular country have to be respected...

I think a complicated situation on the one hand the sponsor interest in promoting your brand but the country's laws are restrictive to the game and betting. Unfortunately it is a situation that can happen and I think the decision was right, Bet365 is a great Group and certainly Stoke City will have other opportunities...

Yes, I understand that. There was same situation in Turkey I think where Real Madrid was played against Galatasaray and they removed Bet and Win logo from their jersey. I think that is not a big deal and every team should do that and with that move respect city and country where he play.
