UK football club Aston Villa has signed Betfair and Bet365 making them the official partners of the club with co-exclusive rights in the betting category.
In a statement, Aston Villa chief commercial officer, Charlie Wijeratna said: "I am very pleased that we have got two top betting brands on board as partners for next season.
"Commercially the club has two aims - we want to partner with good brands that will activate extensively and we want to increase our commercial revenues so we can compete with the best on the pitch.
"These two deals represent a very significant commercial increase on last year's betting partnership and taken together with the recent announcement of an enhanced shirt sponsorship deal with a top US brand, demonstrate significant progress towards those goals."

This i good staff for club an for this betting partners. Club found new sponsors and partners which will promote club values through their web sites, and of course club will generate some money through this sponsorship deal. Betting companies will have ads on stadiums and rights for clubs name and logo to promote themselves.

I know that football team is best way to advertise sportsbook but I am not sure is that good for football. Big sponsors give big money and with that money they must have influence on football clubs and that is something...

Betfair and Bet365 are two monsters companies on the betting market and I guess the club incomes from gambling activities will raise at least double. Betfair and Bet365 are two monsters companies on the betting market and I guess the club incomes from gambling activities will raise at least double. This is the realities in the League and if Aston Villa want to be closer to the top teams they have to work with the best partners and in this case they've had done exactly that.

I've said this many times, and I'll say it much more, football is not the same since betting sites are part of it. I know that this kind of partnerships are good for both, teams and betting sites, but it's definitely not good for the football. I know that this kind of partnerships are good for both, teams and betting sites, but it's definitely not good for the football. How bigger amounts of money are in "play" that more and more football will lose it's passion, and that is really sad, from my point of view.
