West Ham United have qualified for next season's Europa League after finishing top of the Premier League Fair Play table. However, they will start the tournament as early as the first qualifying round, which kicks off on July 2nd. They will have to go through four preliminary rounds before reaching the group stage.
Joint-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold said: "Starting in early July will bring its challenges. But everyone at the club will be relishing the opportunity to feature on the European stage." Next season will be the last one for the Hammers at the Boleyn Ground as they will move to the Olympic Stadium for the 2016-2017 season.
Sullivan and Gold added: "We want to ensure the Boleyn Ground the best send-off possible, and progress in this competition will certainly help with that." Tottenham, Liverpool and either Southampton or Aston Villa will also represent England in the Europa League. The participation of Southampton or Aston Villa depends on the outcome of Saturday's FA Cup final.

This rule is a very good, because it rewards teams for fair play. It is very important to respect fair play in today's football, because a lot of this is based on tactics, and then the teams in all the ways they want to come to victory. with a new coach in the Europa League.

This is not so good news for West Ham United I guess, yes it's always nice to play in the European tournaments but that will disturb their Premier League season moreover they will have to start from the preliminary rounds and that will be a long, long season for them. We have so many examples in the last years for mid table...

We have so many examples in the last years for mid table teams who playing in Europe are just too tired in the League at the same time.

West Ham will play in Europa League qualification from the first round. This can be very hard thing for them because of early start preseason. On the other hand, this is great opportunity for them to show how good they can be in Europe. Now, they have to bring new manager, and to start this adventure in Europe.

I'm so glad that West Ham will have a chance to play in UEFA Europa League for the next season. They had a great season, and even they didn't manage to take place on the table to qualify in this European competition. On the other side, I agree with h34dhunt3r, this "Fair Play Table" is such a strange thing, and it's so...

I don't even understand how this works. They give nations slots, and then team with a least number of cards gets it? Should't it be like this: leagues that have least number of cards get slot, and in this case that should be 7th team in national championship, not some bottom team. West Ham may qualify since qualifications...

West Ham may qualify since qualifications are not that strong, but they can't go futher then that. Another lose for English football.

It is huge luck for the Hammers.West Ham has good chances to qualify to the group stage. They are serious team so they willl probablyt strengthen all areas of the team. If they make very good moves in the transfer window they can be considered as one of the favourites for the next year's Europa League.
