Back UEFA Champions League: Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain preview

The two giants in Group F will battle it out for the top spot on Wednesday evening when Barcelona welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Camp Nou. Both teams have already secured qualification, but PSG lead the group by just one point over second-placed Barcelona. A draw would be enough for PSG to secure the top spot but Barcelona will want to win their group for the eighth consecutive season.

The reverse match was quite spectacular, PSG won it 3-2. Barcelona have managed to win just one of their last six games against the French, that was all the way back in 1996-1997. The two sides have also met last season in the Champions League quarter finals, the match at Camp Nou ended 1-1 but Barca pulled through on away goals.

Barcelona have lost just once in their last 29 home games in the Champions League, securing 22 wins in the process. However, PSG are in top shape in Europe, losing just two of their last 11 away games. Barcelona are on a seven-game winning streak in all competitions while PSG are still undefeated this season. Barcelona will be without Dani Alves and Rafinha, both suspended, while the visitors could be without midfielder Thiago Motta due to a thigh problem.

Probable starting line-ups:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen - Mathieu, Pique, Mascherano, Alba - Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta - Neymar, Messi, Suarez

PSG: Sirigu - Van der Wiel, Silva, Luiz, Maxwell - Pastore, Matuidi, Verratti - Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Cavani

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Barcelona win - 1/2 Draw - 7/2 PSG win - 13/2
