Pinnacle Sports was acquired by an undisclosed owner in 2014 and most recently, the Malta Gaming Authority has issued a Class 2 Provisional Gaming License to the bookie.
Pinnacle CEO Paris Smith announced the new license in a press release and it signifies a growth strategy and "...initiates ambitious plans for expansion into regulated markets, and the development of relevant B2B relationships."
The company has its sights set on moving into the Asian market and is working toward upgrading its infrastructure and betting product.
The MGA's executive chairman, Joseph Cuschieri, commented that Pinnacle is "...one of the biggest brands in the gaming industry."
