Indian police in Punjab have gone full force against illegal gambling with the arrest of 15 bookmakers and says it will continue to hunt down unlawful bookmakers and gamblers.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of laptops, telephones and registers.
Similarly, Bangalore's Central Crime Branch arrested Muneer Pasha and Sadiq Pasha for accepting wagers on the cricket match between India and South Africa.
Abhishek Goel, deputy commissioner of Police, said that the men they apprehended were involved in an inter-State gambling ring having collected bets for a Rajasthan-based bookmaker, known as Rajesh.

Illegal gambling is a very bad thing for one state.India is not famous as a country of good authorities and laws,,but they must start fighting against things that are making life harder than it should be.Taxes from legal gambling are good profit for a country,and with illegal gambling that profit is zero.

I don't know what are the Indian gambling laws but seems like there are many illegal bookmakers who, I'm sure making pretty good money of that. The authorities had every right to be strict with these people or illegal organizations and everyone who is violating a country's laws.
