Leicester manager Nigel Pearson says the club do not intend to sack him. Last Sunday there were reports that he was already dismissed, but the club issued a statement denying they had taken such a decision.
"They don't want to get rid of me," Pearson said after Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Arsenal. "I'm here. I had lunch with the owners today. My relationship remains very good, professionally and personally. I'm more than within my rights to move on from that situation now."
Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who bought the club in 2010, sat one seat in front of Pearson in the stands during the first half of the match against Arsenal and the two were spotted laughing at one point. Leicester came close to clinching a point at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina denied them a late equaliser. "I'm getting a bit tired of talking about being an unlucky side," Pearson added. "It's all well and good talking about performances. It's all right looking on the bright side of life but ultimately it's about winning games and we continue to be under scrutiny because of the position we are in."
Leicester are currently last in the Premier League table and they are 9/4 at Bet365 to avoid relegation this season.

Lester plays this season very bad, I believe that they don't have enough good squad to avoid relegation. They bought Kramaric, and he is surely one good addition, but they need more of players with that class, which one can add some quality to the team. Then they can fight for relegation status. I am afraid that they are...

I don't agree with galata86, I don't think that sacking manager will resolve problems which have Leicester city. Pearson is great manager, last year Leicester played very well, and they was best team in Championship, this year they just don't have enough quality to avoid relegation, they didn't buy right players on transfer...

Pearson is great manager, last year Leicester played very well, and they was best team in Championship, this year they just don't have enough quality to avoid relegation, they didn't buy right players on transfer windows and now I think that it is impossible to avoid relegation with this players... Mourinho can't help them

They don't have enough quality in their squad. I think that changing manager can only improve their chances to play in premier league next year, because with new manager player will work harder to earn place in first squad and that may help Leicester to get some points.

Many times I've said that I don't think that managers are the only ones who are responsible for club's success or disasters. Nigel Pearson "raised" Leicester and as h34dhunt3r said he bring his team to Premier League, but this season they have very bad season. They have some very good players but they must find a way to connect themselves and to play a better football, or they will not have any chance to stay next season in Premier League.

Nigel Pearson did a good job at Leicester last season when they won the title in Championship but the team not doing so well this season in the Premier league and for me they will go down this campaign, But I think Pearson have to stay because it is too late for a change in manager position.

I know that Nigel Pearson got Leicester into Premier League, which was great success to begin with. But their season goal was mid-table probably. Now they are stuck on the bottom, and something has to change if they want to keep their Premier League status. Since transfer window is closed, fireing coach is only thing that...

Now they are stuck on the bottom, and something has to change if they want to keep their Premier League status. Since transfer window is closed, fireing coach is only thing that comes to my mind.
